In 2007, Doug Dohring, brought together a world-class team to create Age of Learning’s flagship product, ABCmouse Early Learning Academy, which became the leading and most comprehensive early learning program for children ages 2–8. Under Doug’s leadership and driven by a mission to help children build a strong foundation for academic success and a lifelong love of learning, Age of Learning’s offerings have grown to include other pioneering digital education programs, including Adventure Academy, ABCmouse English, My Math Academy, and My Reading Academy. Together with ABCmouse, these programs have collectively impacted the lives of more than 50 million children to date.
In 2020, Doug took his passion for education to a global scale by launching the Age of Learning Foundation. Partnering with organizations like UNICEF and UNESCO, the foundation aims to improve educational opportunities for disadvantaged children worldwide.
Prior to Age of Learning, Doug founded NeoPets, Inc. Under his leadership, NeoPets.com grew to become one of the top-ranked online youth communities in the world, generating more than 8 billion page views per month in 11 languages. His earlier venture, The Dohring Company, ranked among the top 100 market research firms in the U.S.
Doug’s legacy of innovation, altruism, and commitment to education will forever resonate, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
