Dr. Bang leads research initiatives evaluating Age of Learning’s educational technology products as VP of Efficacy Research & Evaluation, overseeing studies that examine adaptive learning technologies’ impact on student achievement across diverse populations.


Her research informs product development and personalization efforts while strengthening the company’s competitive position in the schools market, with expertise spanning child development, second language acquisition, assessment design, teacher professional development, and education of English language learners and immigrant youth. In her tenure, she has secured competitive federal funding, including from the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences, to investigate how personalized game-based learning supports teaching and learning in classrooms

Prior to joining Age of Learning, Dr. Bang held research leadership positions at Classroom, Inc., Amplify Education, and National Writing Project, where she evaluated digital curricula, assessments, and teacher professional development programs. She has authored or co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and research reports.


Dr. Bang holds a Ph.D. from NYU in Teaching & Learning, an M.Ed. from Harvard University, and a BA Honors in Linguistics and French from Oxford University.
